Griffin Centerstage Case for Zune 30 GB (Black)

Ok i really don't like this case. The only reason i gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it does offer a good degree of protection for your Zune. If you are clumsy and you drop your Zune a lot then this might be a good case for you. Besides the protection though, its worthless.

QUALITY: The case is made of an obviously low-quality, hard plastic. While the case would withstand a pretty average impact, i tested it a bit, and a 10-foot fall cracked it bad. And that was without the Zune inside it, of course.

LOOKS: To be honest, the case looks absolutely awful. Mine came with smudges and scratches all over it which meant the Zune screen was hard to see. Idk what the black covering near the button holes is for, but it just looked ugly against my brown Zune.

FEATURES: Lets see, the button holes fail, as you have to push REALLY hard to hit the button. The plastic holes are too small and get in the way (my thumbs got sore after a while.) The only thing that was remotely cool about this case was the stand on the back that flips out for viewing movies and such. Sure you don't have to hold it, but then again, the Zune rests on its side anyway, without the stand.

The only reason i got this case was for the stand and the price. But then again, it isn't worth anymore than what is listed. My recommendations if you are looking for something protective would be the black aluminum case. I absolutely love it. It looks cool, its padded so it doesn't scratch your Zune, and its only $0.99! Buy that please, but don't get this junk.

I received this case (in Clear) with my 30G Zune for the holidays, and it does a great job protecting the entire Zune from damage.

Pros:
- solid coverage to prevent damage from dropping or spills.
- solid coverage for the screen.

Cons:
- Thick plastic may make it slightly difficult to press on the (now recessed) buttons.
- The part that covers the screen may become warped and press on the actual screen, causing "dark bubbles" to appear between the screen and the cover.
- The "stand" flap does nothing to help if you want to strap this to your belt or a pocket. And with videos requiring the Zune to lay sideways, the stand is pretty much USELESS.


Overall, though, it does a great job of protecting the Zune from damage.

*note: To remove the ZUNE from this case, you need to pry it apart from the open area around the HOLD switch!

The Centerstage by Griffin is an excellent case for your Microsoft Zune. I would have given it 5 stars if it came with instructions, for the simple fact that I have it on my Zune and I can't figure out how to get it off. I am afraid of cracking the case trying to get it off. Make sure you clean your screen and the case before you put it on.
