This card works great with the Kindle. It is easy to use and copies from the Kindle quite fast. If you leave the card in the Kindle it will show you whether the item is on your kindle or on the memory card right under the title of the item in the content manager section. Great for keeping things on your Kindle organized.

I bought the 133xSD 4GB card for my Kindle. When I put it in the slot, a message flashed on the screen, "The inserted SD memory card could not be read. Please reformat the card or use a different, compatible card."

I put the card in my Canon digital camera to be sure it wasn't simply a defective card and it worked great there.

The Kindle support line told me that there is no way to reformat the card, it wasn't compatible. This item is not sold by Amazon, simply through Amazon and they have no way of knowing if it works or not unless people complain.

I know others above give it rave reviews with a Kindle, but either the card has been changed or something about the Kindle has been.

This storage card does not work with the Kindle I received for Christmas 2008!!

For someone who has never inserted a memory card before,this snapped right into my Kindle & I immediately & easily downloaded the books I've already read onto it. All items downloaded are displayed underneath the titles in Content Manager--this is an easy way to keep things organized, open up space on your Kindle, and any book you may wish to re-read in the future can be immediately uploaded back to your Kindle.

The brand I received was a Max Flash 133xSD, which is probably a little better quality than the one shown. As long as it is 133x, this is a good price for 4GB of SD memory. I purchased this memory card for use in a small HD digital video camera and it works great. I am :)

I use a lot of audio on my Kindle and it takes up a lot of space. Even by removing items I am finished with, I seldom had enough space for an entire audio book, which usually are broken into two parts. The addition of the 4GB SD card has completely solved the problem of having to stop listening to a book half way through until I have time to remove part 1 and download part 2!

I have a Kindle 1, this Memory Card is all that I wanted, and more. Despite the one review to the contrary, it did not need to be formatted to work with my Kindle. It worked the moment I put it in, and hasn't failed me yet.

More importantly (to me), if it ever does fail, I am assured that Accessory Genie will promptly answer any question I might have quickly and professionally. Within a week of my purchase, they contacted me to make sure I received the card and was satisfied with its performance.

True Customer Service is a rare commodity in this day and age, and I more than appreciate their follow-up.

The SD worked instantly with my Kindle 1, didn't have any troubles at all. I just popped it in and started loading books onto it, I've already put in about 120 books and there is still tons of space for more. Anyone with a Kindle 1 would benefit greatly with this SD card.

I PURCHASED TWO OF THESE MEMORY CARDS HERE AND NEITHER WORKS WITH OUR KINDLE'S. I'VE SPENT HOURS AND HOURS ON THE TELEPHONE TRYING TO GET THEM TO WORK WITH THE KINDLE. THEY DO WORK ON IBM COMPUTERS BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THEM TO WORK ON THE KINDLE. IT WAS 6 MONTHS BEFORE I NEEDED THEM SO AM SURE THEY CAN NOT BE RETURNED. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOURS WORKS RIGHT AWAY , EVEN IF YOU DON'T NEED EXTRA MEMORY IMMEDIATELY.

I have a Kindle 1 and bought this memory card because it was advertised for use with Kindle 1. I had to remove it because my Kindle kept giving me low memory warnings and finally froze and when I tried to restart the Kindle with directions, it did not restart. Only when I removed the card, could I get my Kindle to work again. I would say that this is not a compatible card for use with Kindle and I also do not think it is necessary to have a memory card since the entire library of books is always listed and available to put on and take off in the Amazon Library of content. Don't waste your money!
